Hello, I’m Rebecca, a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Taverham, Norwich. Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges or seeking self-discovery, I offer both online and in-person counselling on both short and long-term bases.

About Me:
Rooted in the principles of Person-Centred Counselling, I hold a deep belief in your inherent wisdom as the compass guiding our therapeutic (client-led) journey. My approach is dynamic and personalised—I tailor each session to your unique needs, seamlessly integrating elements from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and diverse modalities. My ultimate aim is to cultivate a therapeutic space that is warm, non-judgmental, and deeply empathetic, allowing you the freedom to explore and flourish on your path to personal growth.
Professional Background:
Drawing from a robust academic foundation in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (First Class Honours, University of Worcester) and a specialised Counselling and Psychotherapy MSc (Keele University), I bring five years of dedicated academic training to my counselling practice. My hands-on experiences have been within diverse settings, including roles in youth mentoring, supporting young carers, and contributing to the mission of a domestic abuse and sexual assault charity (Woman’s Aid and Sue Lambert Trust). These varied experiences have enriched my skill set, allowing me to offer a holistic and empathetic approach in my therapeutic work.
Specialisations:
My specialised focus lies in providing empathetic support to individuals navigating past traumas, encompassing areas such as sexual abuse, domestic violence, low self-esteem, self-injury and grief. Through a compassionate and tailored approach, I work collaboratively with you to foster greater self-awareness, enhance emotional resilience, and cultivate a sense of inner peace. Your journey towards healing and self-discovery is at the forefront of our work together.
Your Unique Experience:
I believe in the importance of establishing a strong foundation for our journey together. To ensure we’re the right fit, I offer a complimentary 20-minute online meeting. This provides you with the space to ask questions and share the reasons behind seeking support. The therapeutic relationship we develop is built on trust and honesty, evolving over time at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Ethical Commitment:
As a dedicated member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I uphold their rigorous ethical framework. This commitment ensures the highest standards of professionalism and best practices in our therapeutic engagement. Regular supervision is a priority in my ongoing growth and well-being, always conducted with utmost confidentiality. Rest assured, I adhere to GDPR and stringent confidentiality policies, prioritising your privacy and trust.
